Radio Sports America is a top premier broadcasting producer and syndicator specializing in the live play-by-play of sporting events and short-form radio programs. It was the national radio network in December, 2003 for the NCAA New Orleans Bowl college football game between North Texas and Memphis from the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. In October 2015, it was also the worldwide live audio stream for the CCA Division II Tip-Off Classic college basketball tournament in Anaheim and Carson, California (18 games in three days.)


Company founder and president David Smock is a veteran sports announcer broadcasting games on radio, television, cable TV, and the Internet.

His wide-ranging and extensive play-by-play experience includes football, NCAA college basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, ice hockey, professional boxing, diving, tennis, water polo, pro rodeo, and equestrian show jumping.

His broadcasting career began in his hometown at KLON-FM while a student at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California. Smock is a cum laude graduate of Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington with a B.F.A. degree in communication arts with an emphasis in broadcast journalism.

He was once the sports director at KOUS, Channel 4, the then-NBC local television affiliate in Billings, Montana.

In 2007, he was honored with a major national cable television award in Minneapolis, Minnesota for best sports coverage from The Alliance for Community Media.

For seven years from 2008-2015, he was the coordinating producer and lead play-by-play announcer for the Toro Sports Network at California State University, Dominguez Hills with live Internet TV / radio from Carson, California.

During this time, he worked as a free-lance announcer for Cox Communications-Palos Verdes in Rolling Hills Estates. Smock both produced the telecasts and called the play-by-play action for several Marymount California University Mariners college soccer matches on cable TV in 2013.
